Congratulations to Year 9 pupil Libby, who has been selected to play for Wiltshire County Hockey!

On Thursday 7 November, our Year 12 and 13 History students enjoyed an enriching day at Hampton Court Palace on Thursday 7 November, immersing themselves in the grandeur and complexity of Tudor history.

Last night, two teams of our Year 6 pupils proudly represented St Gabriel’s at the Newbury Weekly News Annual Primary School Quiz, held at Falkland Primary School.

On Tuesday 5 November, this year’s Year 7 cohort embarked on the eagerly awaited "Play in a Day" project, where they worked together to create an imaginative Drama and Dance performance themed around space and time travel.

This morning, our Pre-School room welcomed a special visitor: Sonny’s grandmother, who led an exciting cookery session in honour of Diwali, the Festival of Lights!

We are delighted to announce that Lisa Barrett, our dedicated Toddler Room Leader, has recently achieved her Level 3 Award for Early SEN Coordination, earning her certification as an Early Years SENCO (Special Educational Needs Coordinator).

We are delighted to share the recent equestrian achievements of two talented St Gabriel’s pupils, Clare M (Y12) and Sophia L (Year 11), who competed at the NSEA (National Schools Equestrian Association) Eventers Challenge at Rectory Farm near Cirencester last Friday.

We’re delighted to formally introduce Amy Tobin, who joined the St Gabriel’s team at the start of the Autumn term as our new school nurse.

Following their recent visit from veterinarian Fran Allen, our Year 2 pupils were thrilled to welcome another special guest—school nurse Amy Tobin!

On Tuesday 22 October, Year 1 enjoyed a fantastic day out at Milestones Museum in Basingstoke.

Just before the half-term break, our Reception class set off on an exciting adventure in the school’s very own “Big Woods.”

Earlier this term, our Year 3 pupils kicked off their fascinating new topic on soils with an exciting scavenger hunt around the school grounds.
