The festive spirit was in full swing at the Nursery Christmas Party on Thursday 5 December, with a day packed full of joy, laughter, and holiday magic across the Babies, Toddlers, and Pre-school rooms.

This week, Reception and Key Stage 1 pupils brought the magic of Christmas to life with their delightful Nativity performance, Hey Ewe!—a heart-warming retelling of the traditional Nativity story through the eyes of a curious sheep.

On Wednesday 4 December, Year 9 Classics pupils embarked on an exciting trip to the historic city of Bath, immersing themselves in the rich legacy of the Romans as part of their studies.

On Wednesday 4 December, our Year 7 pupils embarked on an exciting trip to the Swan Theatre in Stratford-upon-Avon to see The Red Shoes, a contemporary retelling of Hans Christian Andersen’s dark fairy tale.

On Saturday 9 November, three talented St Gabriel’s pupils competed in the Inter Independent Schools Judo Competition at the High Wycombe Judo Centre, achieving an impressive trio of bronze medals.

The St Gabriel’s Nursery was a joyful display of Christmas cheer on Monday 2 December, as staff and children—babies, toddlers, and pre-schoolers alike—donned their brightest and best festive jumpers to mark the start of December.

On Tuesday, 26 November, St Gabriel’s Year 13 Biology students took part in a fascinating forensics workshop at Baylab, Bayer’s cutting-edge facility in Reading.

On 28 November, Year 11 pupils at St Gabriel’s immersed themselves in an engaging A Level Taster Day, designed to introduce them to the breadth of subjects and opportunities available in the Sixth Form.

Each year, on the final Friday of November, students and staff at St Gabriel’s eagerly anticipate a unique celebration: Dame Betty Day.
St Gabriel’s Year 7 pupil, Milly D, showcased her incredible talent and determination at the Youth Climbing Series (YCS) Grand Final 2024, held on 23 and 24 November in Leeds.

Despite the blustery conditions brought by Storm Bert, the St Gabriel’s Equestrian Team showed true grit and determination at the NSEA Inter-Schools Show Jumping Competition on Saturday, 23 November.
