Love, creativity, and kindness were in the air at St Gabriel’s this week as pupils across the school, from Nursery to Seniors, took part in a variety of Valentine’s-themed activities.

This week, our Nursery was buzzing with excitement as we welcomed fathers and grandfathers for a special series of Stay and Play sessions on Monday 10, Wednesday 12, and Friday 14 February.

St Gabriel’s is proud to announce that we have been awarded the Equal Access School Plaque from the Barclays Girls' Football School Partnerships, in recognition of our commitment to providing equal access to football for girls.

On Monday 10 February, our Year 9 Geography students enjoyed an exciting educational trip to Bristol Aquarium, where they explored marine conservation and urban geography through hands-on experiences.

Students in St Gabriel’s MedSoc had the unique opportunity to deepen their understanding of antenatal care and the process of labour in a special session led by Science Technician and Newbury NCT leader, Helen Kuijpers.

St Gabriel’s was thrilled to host its much-anticipated annual Maths Challenge today, welcoming more than 20 teams of talented Year 5 pupils from local state and independent schools across Hampshire and Berkshire.

On Wednesday, 5 February, St Gabriel’s Junior School welcomed KS1 parents to a special Maths workshop led by teachers Mrs Bloxham (Reception) and Mrs Ryder (Year 1).

Year 1 pupils stepped back in time for a magical mediaeval experience, bringing their Castles learning topic to life with a hands-on historical adventure!

Year 4 pupils recently discovered the science of sound in a fun and hands-on lesson, using string telephones to explore how vibrations create sound waves.

St Gabriel’s pupils put on an outstanding performance at the ISA London West Cross Country Championships on Friday 31 January, held at Sherfield School.
