This week, Year 1’s Curious Quest lessons took a deliciously creative turn as we celebrated Michael Rosen Week with a special poetry focus.

On Tuesday 11 November, our Year 10 and Year 11 Food and Nutrition pupils enjoyed a deliciously memorable trip to Chocolate Craft in Old Alresford, Hampshire.

On Tuesday 11 November, the St Gabriel’s community came together to mark Armistice Day with a two-minute silence at 11.00am, reflecting on the bravery, sacrifice and service of all those who have been affected by conflict.

On Thursday 6 November, Year 2 were delighted to welcome a team of four firefighters from the Royal Berkshire Fire and Rescue Service for a morning of hands-on learning and fire safety education.

On Friday 7 November, St Gabriel’s hosted its much-loved annual PTA Firework Party, a highlight of the school calendar that brings together pupils, parents, and staff for an evening of fun, community spirit, and spectacular displays.

The Junior School was full of excitement and creativity last week as our much-loved Guy Fawkes Competition returned.

St Gabriel’s was alive with energy on Thursday 6 November as we welcomed pupils from Overton CE Primary School, Stockcross Primary School, Wickham and Welford Primary School, and Burghclere Primary School to join our Year 5s for this year’s Language Olympics.

We are delighted to share that Hannah E, who completed her GCSEs with us last summer, has been longlisted for the GSA National Photography Award in the Years 10–13 category — a remarkable achievement that reflects her talent, creativity and dedication to her craft.

On Tuesday 4 November, our Year 7 pupils took part in one of the most anticipated highlights of the autumn term — ‘Play in a Day’, an immersive Drama and Dance project that challenges each class to create, rehearse and perform a complete production in just one day!

On Tuesday 4 November, our Pre-School children were treated to a very special visit from Sonny’s grandmother, who led a fun and engaging cookery session with the little learners.
