
St Gabriel’s Debating Teams Take on Oxford Union Schools’ Competition
On Tuesday 4th February, a group of Senior and Sixth Form pupils from St Gabriel’s took part in the Oxford Union Schools’ Debating Competition, hosted at Oxford High School.

On Wednesday 14 January, a group of Year 12 and Year 13 pupils took part in an exciting Mock Apprenticeship Assessment Day at the Vodafone UK Headquarters in Newbury, gaining valuable first-hand experience of the corporate recruitment process.

On Tuesday 7 October, St Gabriel’s was delighted to welcome current Year 11 pupils and external prospective students to our Introduction to Sixth Form Evening.

On Tuesday, our Year 13 Biology students spent the day at Rushall Farm, undertaking vital fieldwork as part of their A-Level Biology practical endorsement.

On Monday 24 February, our Sixth Formers kicked off the new half-term with an eye-opening road safety workshop, delivered by the Roads Policing Unit, a joint operations unit of Thames Valley Police and Hampshire & Isle of Wight Constabulary.

Students in St Gabriel’s MedSoc had the unique opportunity to deepen their understanding of antenatal care and the process of labour in a special session led by Science Technician and Newbury NCT leader, Helen Kuijpers.

Laura Farris, the MP for Newbury, came to visit the school for a Q&A session with the Senior School.

St Gabriel’s took to the stage at Arlington Arts on Tuesday 7 March and Thursday 9 March for the Senior School performance of Bugsy Malone, directed by Head of Drama, Ruth Chaplin.
