This week, St Gabriel’s Nursery was delighted to welcome parents into school for a series of Mother and Father Stay and Play sessions, held on Monday 12, Wednesday 14 and Friday 16 January.

This week, St Gabriel’s Nursery was delighted to welcome parents into school for a series of Mother and Father Stay and Play sessions, held on Monday 12, Wednesday 14 and Friday 16 January.

On Thursday 15 January, St Gabriel’s was delighted to host an action-packed Mission Impossible Science Day, welcoming Year 6 pupils from Elstree, Cheam and Wellesley Prep for a morning of thrilling, hands-on science.

On Wednesday 14 January, a group of Year 12 and Year 13 pupils took part in an exciting Mock Apprenticeship Assessment Day at the Vodafone UK Headquarters in Newbury, gaining valuable first-hand experience of the corporate recruitment process.

On Tuesday 13 January, two St Gabriel’s teams of pupils from Years 7–9 took part in the First LEGO League regional competition, held at Oxford Brookes University and organised by the Institute of Engineering and Technology (IET).

Congratulations to St Gabriel's Dance, Drama and Academic Scholar Helena in Year 9, who was recently awarded Second Place at the Royal Wootton Bassett Speech and Drama Festival, for her dramatic monologue performance.

Year 3 pupils enjoyed a fascinating and hands-on start to their new Science topic on fossils with a memorable visit to the Oxford University Museum of Natural History on Thursday 8 January.
We are pleased to share the news that Arabella N in Year 2 has successfully gained a place on the Cecchetti Ballet Associates Young Associate programme, following an audition held just before Christmas.

On Thursday 18 December, our Pre-School pupils delighted families and staff with a heart-warming performance of a classic Nativity, confidently retelling the much-loved Christmas story.

While the main school had already broken up for the holidays, St Gabriel’s Nursery was still buzzing with festive excitement on Monday 15 December as children and staff came together for their much-loved Christmas Lunch.

On Wednesday 3 and Thursday 4 December, families were warmly welcomed to St Gabriel’s for this year’s KS1 Nativity production, A Miracle in Town, a charming retelling of the Christmas story by Niki Davies.

On Wednesday 10 December, the St Gabriel’s community gathered in the Sports Hall for our Senior Carol Service — an atmospheric and uplifting celebration that brought pupils, staff and families together for an evening of music, readings and seasonal reflection.

As the Autumn Term draws to a close, St Gabriel’s looks back on an exceptionally vibrant and rewarding few months — a term rich in learning, creativity, community spirit and joyful celebration.
