St Gabriel’s was delighted to welcome Ellie Kerr-Smiley, a talented portrait artist and resident at The Base, Greenham, for a special oil painting workshop with our Art Scholars and GCSE students.

Just before half-term, a group of our talented pupils – Jesteena AP (Y8), Ralph O (Y9), and Aditi R (Y9) – represented St Gabriel’s at the Team Maths Challenge held at Queen Anne's School.

On Friday, 28th February, a team of 10 enthusiastic Year 6 and Year 7 pupils from St Gabriel’s travelled to Bristol to take part in the FIRST® LEGO® League Challenge, an exciting global STEM competition designed to inspire young minds and develop key skills for the future.

On Thursday, 27th February, Year 3 pupils from St Gabriel's embarked on an exciting educational adventure to Reading Museum.

As part of our World Book Day celebrations, St Gabriel’s is proud to support Sweet Caroline’s Hidden Book Adventure, a wonderful initiative founded by St Gabriel’s parent, Duncan Shearer.

We are thrilled to share that St Gabriel’s has received fantastic reviews from Muddy Stilettos, the award-winning national lifestyle website that showcases the very best local businesses, events and independent schools across the country.
Year 6 pupil Elodie delivered an outstanding performance at the Hampshire County Swimming Championships last weekend, competing in her very first County-level competition at Winchester’s 50m pool.

On Monday 24 February, our Sixth Formers kicked off the new half-term with an eye-opening road safety workshop, delivered by the Roads Policing Unit, a joint operations unit of Thames Valley Police and Hampshire & Isle of Wight Constabulary.

Before the Half Term break, our Year 6 pupils were delving into the realities of life in Britain during World War II, exploring key historical themes such as rationing, evacuations, and the Blitz.

Our Nursery children had a thrilling start to the week as we welcomed PCSO Dickson and PCSO Vaughan from Thames Valley Police on Monday, 17 February.
