On Monday 23 September, a group of St Gabriel’s pupils from Years 10–13 attended the inaugural Classics and Latin Conference at Wycombe Abbey.
On 18 September, Year 9 pupils embarked on the much-loved French and Classics trip to Parc Astérix — a tradition at St Gabriel’s for over 13 years.

St Gabriel’s is celebrating the outstanding success of Year 4 pupil, Sophie, who represented Team England at the 2025 World Martial Arts Championships, held at the University of Hull from 18–20 September.

The Junior School launched WOW Week in style with a special visit from published author JJ Murray and illustrator Katie Tayler on Monday 22 September.
St Gabriel's Year 10 pupil, Aditi R, has been crowned Hampshire U15 Girls County Champion after winning all her matches at the Junior Closed 2025 Squash Tournament on Saturday 13 September.

On Wednesday 10 September, St Gabriel’s was proud to be awarded a Bronze certificate in the Newbury in Bloom competition, announced at a special award ceremony at the Corn Exchange.

On Tuesday 9 September, the annual West Berkshire Sports Awards were held at Arlington Arts, celebrating sporting excellence across the region.
Congratulations to Year 9 pupil, Liam N, who enjoyed a fantastic weekend of competition at the British Schools Laser Run Championships in Liverpool, followed by the British Open Championships back in July.

Year 8 pupil Mya Panchal has had an action-packed summer, balancing her passion for both football and cricket with outstanding success.

On Monday 1 September, our Year 12 and Year 13 students set off for the Malverns to enjoy two action-packed days at the Boundless Outdoors activity centre.

Pupils from St Gabriel’s School in Newbury were hosted by historic racing car team 10 Motorsport at the Silverstone Festival in August.

St Gabriel’s is celebrating another excellent set of GCSE results this year, building on the success of last week’s A Level outcomes.
