St Gabriel’s Pyjama Day Raises Smiles (and Funds!) for Children in Need

On Friday 14 November, St Gabriel’s Nursery and Junior School embraced a wonderfully cosy tradition — Pyjama Day in support of BBC Children in Need.

Despite the wet and windy weather, children across the Nursery and Junior School arrived in an array of bright, bold and brilliantly quirky pyjamas, all to raise money for an important cause. From our tiniest babies at just six months old to our confident Year 6 pupils, everyone joined in — with staff proudly matching the colourful theme too!

Throughout the day, many classes took time to learn more about Pudsey Bear, the charity’s work, and the incredible impact Children in Need has on young people and families across the UK and beyond. It was a heartwarming reminder of how even small acts — like wearing your pyjamas to school — can contribute to making a big difference.

The event was the perfect, feel-good way to end the week, combining fun, community spirit, and charitable purpose.
