There was plenty of excitement at St Gabriel’s on Tuesday 13 October as we welcomed our prospective Year 7 pupils for Candidates’ Day, a much-anticipated highlight of our admissions calendar.
Year 6 travelled to Southampton on Friday 9 October for a fascinating visit to the SeaCity Museum, where they explored the story of the RMS Titanic and discovered more about one of the most significant maritime disasters in history.
It was a proud evening for St Gabriel’s on Tuesday 6 October, as three pupils and a former member of our coaching team were recognised at the West Berkshire Schools Sports Awards, held at Arlington Arts.

Year 2 went wild this week on their exciting school trip to Cotswold Wildlife Park! This term, the children have been learning about different animal groups in Science, so the trip was a fantastic opportunity to put their knowledge into action.

Congratulations to Henry and Declan, who produced a fantastic series of performances across two weekends of swimming at the Basingstoke Bluefins Club Championships.
A group of our Year 9 pupils attended the Hampshire Book Award ceremony at Calthorpe School this morning, celebrating a reading journey that began during the summer term.
Year 7 stepped out of the classroom and into nearly 1,000 years of history on Monday 5 October, with a visit to Windsor Castle as part of their study of the Norman Conquest.
From Stone Age cave painting and Victorian steam trains to science experiments, sculpture and even a little Hogwarts magic, there has been something rather different happening across St Gabriel’s this week!

The St Gabriel’s grounds were transformed into a riot of colour on Saturday 26 September as pupils, families and staff came together for the return of our hugely popular PTA Colour Run.

Year 9 crossed the Channel for a weekend of French culture, language, Classics and plenty of adventure on the much-anticipated annual trip to Parc Astérix.
Year 7 put their artistic talents to the test on Wednesday 23 September as they enjoyed their first Senior School trip with a visit to Roche Court Sculpture Park in Wiltshire.
Year 9 travelled back almost 2,000 years on Wednesday 16 September, as they headed to Bath for a day exploring Roman Britain and discovering more about life in the ancient city of Aquae Sulis.
