Year 8 Explore Roman History and Georgian Bath

As part of their Activity Days, Year 8 pupils enjoyed a fantastic day trip to the historic city of Bath on Friday 27 June. Renowned for its Roman heritage and Georgian architecture, Bath offered the perfect setting for a day of culture, history, and fun to round off the term.

The highlight of the visit was a guided tour of the Roman Baths, where pupils explored the remarkably preserved ancient complex and learnt about life in Roman Britain. Bringing history to life, the group took part in a hands-on workshop that included the chance to dress up as Roman citizens in traditional togas — a firm favourite amongst many!

After their immersive experience at the Baths, pupils had some free time to explore the beautiful city, soaking in the elegant Georgian architecture, enjoying the lively atmosphere, and sampling local shops and cafés.

It was a thoroughly enjoyable and enriching day, and a fitting way to bring the summer term to a close.
