Easter Hampers for Local Families

As the Spring Term drew to a close, pupils in the Senior School at St Gabriel’s came together for a truly meaningful initiative in support of the West Berkshire Food Bank.

Each form group took part by donating a variety of items before working collaboratively to craft, decorate and fill beautiful Easter-themed hampers for local families. These colourful creations were packed with thoughtful contributions, ranging from delicious chocolate eggs to essential household items and store-cupboard staples.

The hampers themselves were a delight to behold, with pupils embracing the creative challenge. Decorations were imaginative and full of seasonal cheer, featuring rabbits, chicks and spring flowers in abundance. The activity not only showcased the pupils’ creativity but also their generosity and community spirit.

Pupils thoroughly enjoyed the opportunity to work together on something so positive, taking pride in creating hampers that will bring both practical support and a touch of joy to families in the local area.

St Gabriel’s has a long-standing relationship with the West Berkshire Food Bank, of which we are incredibly proud. Supporting our local community remains an important part of school life, and initiatives such as this continue to strengthen those connections.

We would like to extend our sincere thanks to all our families who generously donated items to this fantastic cause. Your support has made a real difference.

We look forward to seeing what the next hamper initiative will bring!
