Early Years Families Come Together for Spring Coffee Morning

On Friday 20 February, we were delighted to welcome Nursery and Reception families to our Early Years Coffee Morning, held in our on-site café, Gabbies.
These informal gatherings are a much-valued part of life at St Gabriel’s, offering families the opportunity to come together, connect and share in the experience of early years education.
The morning ran from 8.00am to 9.30am, allowing parents to drop off their children before joining us, while also welcoming younger siblings along to enjoy a dedicated soft play area and selection of toys. Families relaxed over tea, coffee, juice, freshly baked pastries and fruit, creating a warm and sociable atmosphere.
A new feature of our coffee mornings is a short talk from an independent expert. For our spring event, we were delighted to welcome three members of the Speech and Language Therapy team from NHS Berkshire Healthcare. They delivered an engaging overview of the support available to families and shared practical tips to encourage early language development in babies and young children. Their session sparked plenty of interest and discussion among parents and carers.
It was wonderful to see so many familiar and new faces enjoying the opportunity to meet, talk and share experiences. Events such as these reflect the welcoming and supportive environment we are proud to offer families at every stage of their journey with St Gabriel’s.
We look forward to welcoming families to our next Coffee Morning soon.
