A ‘Turtley’ Terrific Visit for Year 2!
On Friday 10 October, Year 2 had a very special visitor — Speedi the tortoise — as part of their Science topic on Animals, with a focus on Reptiles this week.
The children were fascinated to meet Speedi up close and learn all about what makes reptiles such unique creatures. They discovered what reptiles eat, how they move, where they live, and how they have adapted to survive in different environments.
Everyone had the chance to handle Speedi gently and feel his tough, textured shell, sparking plenty of excitement and curiosity. It was a wonderful hands-on learning experience that truly brought their topic to life.
It’s safe to say that Speedi’s visit was a lesson to remember — one that left Year 2 feeling inspired and full of fascinating facts about the animal kingdom!
