St Gabriel’s Announces Exciting Expansion of Its Outstanding Nursery

St Gabriel’s School in Newbury is delighted to announce the expansion of its hugely successful Nursery, with building work beginning over the October half term.

The development will double the size of the current Baby Room, increasing capacity to meet growing demand while maintaining the Nursery’s warm, family-centred ethos and exceptional care.

Open 50 weeks a year from 7.30am to 6.30pm, the Nursery welcomes boys and girls aged six months to four years into a kind, caring and stimulating environment where they can learn, play, and grow.

Located at the heart of the school, the Nursery benefits from the wider facilities of St Gabriel’s, including the Sports Hall, Junior Music Studio and Theatre. Children also make full use of the school’s beautiful grounds — from bug hunts and sound walks to tree climbing, den building and story acting — helping them to develop curiosity and confidence through outdoor exploration.

Rated Outstanding by Ofsted and achieving an impressive 9.9/10 on DayNurseries.com, St Gabriel’s Nursery is recognised for the exceptional quality of its teaching, care and learning environment.

Principal Ricki Smith commented:

“Our Nursery plays a central role in the St Gabriel’s community, offering the very best start for every child. This expansion reflects both the trust our families place in us and our ongoing commitment to providing outstanding early years education in an exceptional environment.”

Nursery Manager Katie Noonan added:

“We are thrilled to be expanding our Nursery to welcome more families into our wonderful community. The new facilities will enable us to offer state-of-the-art spaces while continuing to deliver the warm, nurturing care and individual attention we’re so proud of.”

This exciting project marks the next chapter in the Nursery’s continued success — ensuring that even more children can benefit from the nurturing, inspiring and exceptional early years provision that has become a hallmark of St Gabriel’s.
