Year 6 Conquer Mill on the Brue!

Year 6 have returned full of stories and smiles after an unforgettable week at Mill on the Brue, an outdoor adventure centre nestled in the Somerset countryside.

From start to finish, the week was packed with exhilarating activities, teamwork, and unforgettable memories.

Pupils threw themselves into every challenge with energy and enthusiasm. Highlights included tunnelling, crate stacking, raft building, and a thrilling zip line, along with pizza making, bushcraft, and a whole host of problem-solving challenges. They also tackled escape rooms, blindfolded night lines, assault courses, and climbing walls, building confidence, resilience, and camaraderie along the way.

Evenings brought time to relax and reflect, with games, treats (including a delicious treacle tart!), and some well-earned chill-out time after action-packed days.

Throughout the trip, the pupils impressed staff with their bravery, team spirit, and the way they supported one another. They were a credit to the school and made us incredibly proud with their positive attitudes and willingness to step outside their comfort zones.

We’re sure they’ll enjoy a well-deserved rest over the half-term break — and return with stories to tell for a long time to come!
