Junior Sports Day 2025 – Sunshine, Spirit and Records Broken!

After last week’s weather-induced cancellation, the sun returned just in time for the rescheduled Junior Sports Day on Friday 20 June—and what a day it turned out to be!

From Reception to Year 6, pupils took to the front pitch with boundless enthusiasm, demonstrating their determination, athleticism, and excellent sportsmanship throughout a busy morning of events. With activities ranging from sprint races and standing long jump to vortex throwing and relays, there was no shortage of excitement or energy on display.

Parents turned out in force, lining the track and providing a lively backdrop of cheers and encouragement as pupils gave it their all. The atmosphere was electric and the competitive spirit infectious.

🏆 House Competition Results:

  1. Bede – 2262 points

  2. Alban – 2081 points

  3. Chad – 2023 points

  4. Aidan – 1999 points

Congratulations to Bede House, who emerged victorious once again, securing the House Cup with an impressive total of 2262 points!

  • Henrietta W (Year 4) – 400m, 1:22 (equalled school record)

  • Luca B (Year 6) – 75m, 12.33 seconds (equalled school record)

  • Luca B (Year 6) – Vortex Throw, 43.94m (new record, previously 37.6m)

  • Barney C (Year 4) – Vortex Throw, 27.30m (new record, previously 27.03m)

Huge congratulations to all pupils who took part—your effort, attitude and team spirit made the morning a true celebration of sport and community.
