Nursery Manager Achieves Qualification in Supporting Distressed Behaviour in Children

We are delighted to share that Katie Noonan, Nursery Manager at St Gabriel’s, has recently completed her Level 2 Certificate in Understanding Distressed Behaviour in Children.

This achievement reflects both Katie’s dedication to professional development and the nursery’s continued commitment to providing the very best care and support for our children.

The six-month TQUK-certified course, delivered through Newbury College, involved in-depth exploration of a range of topics, including recognising the signs of distress in children, understanding how this can be linked to mental health challenges, special educational needs (SEN), and learning difficulties. The course also covered current legislation and best-practice intervention strategies. Assessment was carried out through multiple units and written word submissions.

Katie completed the course with flying colours, and we are incredibly proud of her achievement. Her enhanced knowledge and understanding further strengthen the warm, inclusive, and supportive environment we foster in our nursery.

At St Gabriel’s, we place high value on continuous professional development (CPD) for all our staff. Katie’s success is a testament to the passion and professionalism within our Early Years team, and we are excited to see how her new insights will benefit our youngest learners.

Congratulations, Katie!
