Year 8 Celebrates World Harry Potter Book Day with Magical Fun

On Thursday 9 October Year 8 pupils at St Gabriel’s marked World Harry Potter Book Day with a spellbinding twist during their Performing Arts lesson.

The classroom was transformed into a wizarding world, where students found their own broomsticks, were sorted into Hogwarts Houses, and took part in an exciting Quidditch match. Alongside the broomstick games, pupils enjoyed a variety of other wizardry-themed challenges, testing their magical skills and teamwork.

Adding to the fun, the students designed and created their own props and costumes, fully embracing their roles as witches and wizards. The activities not only provided a fantastic creative outlet but also served as preparation for their upcoming visit to the Harry Potter Studios Tour later this term.

It was a magical day that brought learning to life and inspired plenty of Hogwarts-style excitement in the Year 8 cohort.
