Strong Performances at ISA London West Athletics

On Wednesday 3 June, Junior and Senior pupils headed to the Thames Valley Athletics Centre in Windsor for a full day of competition at the ISA Athletics London West event.

Running from 10am to 6pm, the meet brought together hundreds of pupils from independent schools across the south for a packed schedule of events including the relay, 100m, 200m, 800m, 1500m, hurdles, discus, javelin, shot, long jump and high jump.

Our St Gabriel’s athletes represented the school with determination, energy and real team spirit throughout the day. We are incredibly proud of every pupil who competed.

There were some standout performances, with several pupils securing podium places and qualifying for the ISA National Championships:

  • Olivia B (U15 Girls) – 2nd place in the 800m, qualifying for Nationals

  • Liam N (U15 Boys) – 2nd place in the 1500m, qualifying for Nationals

  • Declan O’C (U13 Boys) – 1st place in the 100m, qualifying for Nationals

  • Sarah R (U12 Girls) – 2nd place in the Long Jump

These achievements reflect not only individual talent but also the commitment shown by pupils in training and the support of our school community. 

A huge well done to all of our athletes for their hard work and fantastic performances. We look forward to cheering on our qualifiers at the Nationals later this year.
