This is a key event in the Penthathlon GB calendar which serves as the selection trials for the GB team heading to the World Championships in South Africa later this year.

Despite competing in an older age category against Year 9 athletes, Liam rose to the challenge with great determination and resilience. He got off to a fantastic start, leading out of the first shoot into the opening run. After a competitive series of runs, shoots and a swim, Liam consistently held his own amongst a strong field.

Following a gripping final run, Liam finished in an impressive joint 4th place overall. His strong performance with his teammates’ 1st and 3rd place finishes, secured a Team Gold medal for their squad.

As a result of this outstanding achievement, Liam has earned selection to represent Great Britain at the World Triathle Championships in South Africa — a phenomenal accomplishment and a proud moment for the St Gabriel’s community.
