St Gabriel’s PTA Firework Party Lights Up the Autumn Sky

On Friday 7 November, St Gabriel’s hosted its much-loved annual PTA Firework Party, a highlight of the school calendar that brings together pupils, parents, and staff for an evening of fun, community spirit, and spectacular displays.
Despite a drizzly start to the evening, the atmosphere was warm and festive. Families enjoyed hotdogs, soup, marshmallows and hot drinks, keeping everyone cosy while anticipating the main event. The mega bonfire was a real showstopper, adorned with our incredible Junior School Guy Fawkes competition entries, alongside mini Guy Fawkes creations made by our Reception and Year 1 pupils. The younger children had carefully placed their popsicle-stick Guys earlier in the afternoon, adding a charming touch to the display. Huge thanks to the fantastic efforts of our grounds team, who spent weeks preparing the bonfire stack.
Once the bonfire was blazing, the night truly came alive with a fabulous firework display choreographed by Selstar Fireworks Ltd. The show lit up the autumn sky, bringing awe and excitement to all ages.
A huge thank you goes to our Operations Team, led by Steph Day, for expertly coordinating the site, as well as our PTA committee and the army of parent volunteers who worked tirelessly to make the evening possible. The Firework Party is not only a cherished community event but also an important fundraiser, supporting the fantastic projects and resources provided by our PTA.
With Halloween and Bonfire Night now behind us, the school community can look forward to the festive season and all the excitement that Christmas brings.
