Nursery Sports Day: A Wonderful Afternoon of Fun, Family and Team Spirit

Our Nursery children enjoyed a wonderful afternoon of fun, laughter and team spirit at our annual Nursery Sports Day on Wednesday 19 August.

After having to postpone the event due to the recent heatwave, we were delighted that the temperatures were kinder and allowed our children and families to enjoy a fantastic afternoon together in our beautiful grounds. Sports Day is the biggest event in the Nursery calendar and is always a special occasion for our whole Nursery community.

All of our Nursery children from Babies (those walking!) to Pre-School took part, cheered on by family and friends. The children have been practising their sporting skills for weeks and were excited to have the opportunity to show just how much they had learnt. From running races and the classic egg-and-spoon race to hat relays and bean bag drops, it was a jam-packed afternoon, with all the young athletes giving every event their all.

The fun wasn't limited to the children, either! Staff, mums and dads all took part in their own races, much to the delight of the children, who loved seeing their grown-ups getting involved and showing off their own competitive spirit.

After an action-packed afternoon, everyone gathered for a delicious picnic afternoon tea, with our hard-working little athletes enjoying a well-deserved snack and some time to relax together.

And, of course, there had to be an overall winner! This year's Sports Day champions were the Green Team – congratulations!

A huge thank you to all our wonderful Nursery staff for organising such a fantastic event, and to all our parents, families and friends for coming along to support the children. Most of all, well done to our brilliant Nursery Sports Day Superstars. You gave it your all, showed fantastic team spirit and made the afternoon one to remember!
