St Gabriel’s Pupils Send Birthday Wishes to Amelia Kolpa

Pupils from Reception through to Sixth Form at St Gabriel’s School have come together to take part in a heart-warming national initiative, creating birthday cards for Amelia Kolpa, an eight-year-old girl who is bravely living with cancer.
Amelia, from Rowley Regis in the West Midlands, shared her wish to break a world record by receiving thousands of birthday cards for her eighth birthday. Her story has inspired an incredible response across the country, with communities, families and supporters rallying together to help make her birthday truly special.
Inspired by Amelia’s positivity and determination, St Gabriel’s pupils used time during Breakfast Club, Pathfinders after-school sessions and Sixth Form enrichment afternoons to design and write heartfelt birthday cards. In total, our pupils created and signed more than 50 cards, each one filled with colourful artwork, kind messages and birthday wishes.
The project brought together pupils of all ages, reflecting the strong sense of community and compassion that runs through the school. It also provided a meaningful opportunity for pupils to think about kindness, empathy and how small actions can make a big difference.
From everyone at St Gabriel’s School, we send Amelia our very warmest wishes for a very happy birthday, and hope our cards help her celebrate in a truly special way.
