St Gabriel’s Athletes Excel at ISA London West Championships

On Wednesday 4 June, 24 pupils from St Gabriel’s School travelled to the Thames Valley Athletics Centre in Windsor to compete in the ISA London West Athletics Championships — and they certainly did not disappoint!
Competing against hundreds of students from schools across the London West region, our talented athletes showcased outstanding performances across both track and field events, bringing home an impressive collection of results and demonstrating true St Gabriel’s spirit throughout the day.
Top Performances from the Track and Field:

Jonah L (Y7) took 1st place in the U13 Boys 1500m, powering through the final lap with a strong finish.

Liam N (Y8) secured 3rd place in the U15 Boys 1500m, a fantastic effort in a highly competitive race.

Sarah R (Y5) jumped into 2nd place in the U11 Girls Long Jump, showing excellent technique and composure.

Olivia B (Y8) achieved 3rd place in the U15 Girls 800m, maintaining her pace with determination.

Matilda S (Y5) was a star of the day, not only winning the U11 Girls 600m, but also breaking the championship record in the U11 Girls Vortex with a spectacular throw of 35.79 metres.

Elodie B (Y6) ran a fantastic race to claim 2nd place in the U12 Girls 600m.

Luca B (Y6) gave it his all and placed 4th in the U12 Boys 600m
Across the board, every St Gabriel’s athlete gave their best, displaying remarkable resilience, enthusiasm, and teamwork. The event was a true test of mental and physical strength, and our pupils rose to the occasion with grace and grit.
