Their winning performance of The Language of Cat by Rachel Rooney impressed the judges enormously, who praised the “immensely high standard of talent on display this year.” They described the Year 6 recital as “polished and confident, characterised by clear diction and a delightful, captivating rapport with the audience.”

The group brought the poem vividly to life through the use of physical theatre, expressive movement and a rich vocal soundscape that complemented the rhythm and imagery of the text. Their choral storytelling created a cohesive and engaging performance that stood out for its creativity and clarity.

Congratulations to our fantastic Year 6 pupils on this well-deserved achievement, and to Mrs Chaplin, Head of Drama, for her inspiring leadership and direction of the entry.
