Senior Sports Day 2026
On Thursday 2 July, the Senior School gathered on the Front Fields at St Gabriel's for a fantastic day of athletics, friendly competition, and House pride as pupils took part in this year's Senior Sports Day.
Throughout the day, pupils from every year group competed across a full programme of track and field events, including sprints, middle-distance races, long jump and relay races. Whether chasing a personal best, earning valuable House points, or simply giving every event their all, pupils demonstrated determination, resilience, and outstanding sportsmanship.
The atmosphere around the fields was full of energy, with Houses proudly displaying their colours and encouraging teammates from the sidelines. The enthusiastic support from pupils, staff, and families created a wonderful sense of community, making every race and field event feel like a final.
This year's competition once again produced some exceptional performances, with multiple school records falling across a range of events. It was inspiring to see pupils pushing themselves to new heights and celebrating one another's achievements throughout the day.
After a closely contested competition, Aidan House claimed the Senior Sports Day trophy, finishing as overall House champions. Congratulations to everyone who took part and contributed to such an enjoyable and memorable occasion.
Senior Sports Day continues to be one of the highlights of the summer term, bringing together the whole Senior School to celebrate participation, perseverance, and House spirit. It was a wonderful day of sporting achievement and community, and one that will be remembered for many years to come.
