Year 5 & 6 Football Team are West Berkshire Champions!
Our year 5&6 football team are the 6-a-side champions of West Berkshire!
In the tournament held at Thatcham Town FC, they came through the group stage with only one loss to John Rankin who they later defeated in the final. Captain Izzy collected the trophy from England Ladies goalkeeper Siobhan Chamberlain and Millie was interviewed by former Reading captain Adi Williams for BBC Radio Berkshire.

Junior Football Coaching
Year 3 were visited by the coach from Thatcham Town Ladies & Girls FC for a recent PE lesson. They were taught some new skills and played some interesting small sided games. Some of the Year 3 girls will be representing the school in the forthcoming six-a-side tournament at Thatcham to try and retain the trophy we won last year.

Marketing and Events Managers in the Making
Years 9 to 13 had an exciting opportunity recently when Sarah Gregson of the Young Corn Exchange, a free arts events collective for 12 to 25 year olds, ran a fascinating marketing workshop. We heard how events are promoted at The Corn Exchange in Newbury and then had the chance to create our own marketing plan for an imaginary St Gabriel's event at the venue.

Open Morning
Our next Open Morning will be held on Saturday, 12 October 2013, from 9.30am - 12.00 noon. The whole school will be open, providing an excellent opportunity for you to explore our facilities and get a feel for life at St Gabriel's.
