All Sandleford children enjoy a specialist music provision every week. The children learn to develop their music skills in a fun and stimulating way where they are able to safely express their creativity. The emphasis is on learning through singing; following a spiral curriculum, the musical elements such as pulse, rhythm and pitch are revisited and developed.
Songs, games and rhymes form the basis of music learning. Games aid in deepening listening skills and help young children to work cooperatively. Children have access to a range of musical instruments including glockenspiels, xylophones and keyboards.
There is a Performing Arts Studio with an inter-active smart board and pupils also develop their musical skills through the use of programmes such as 'Groovy Music'.
