A broad balanced curriculum includes everything a young person experiences at school. 

St Gabriel’s offers an enriching curriculum and a co-curricular life that builds character and resilience, whilst inspiring and enabling our students to achieve and become successful, rounded young adults.

In teaching the creative arts, we offer the levels of enrichment parents wish for their children. Students of art are treated as artists and students of music are treated as musicians. Walk through any of our departments and you will hear a real quality to the dialogue between teacher and student, more like two adults having a meaningful conversation than the usual teacher/pupil exchange. Our students work independently and there is always a sense of purpose to what they are doing.

Within our enriching curriculum, students develop collaborative working skills; focussed critical thinking and listening; perseverance, without immediate gratification; an ability to interact in a community, and how to work together with others with different views and values.  These are all skills required for the competency-based university courses and careers of the future.

A wide range of visits and co-curricular activities provide ideal opportunities for our students to develop as leaders, learn how to communicate under pressure and to encourage and enthuse others.  Above all they learn to turn failure in to success.

Our enriching curriculum challenges our students’ limits and fear of failure;  we help them to know themselves well and be brave.

Visitors to St Gabriel's quickly recognise that this is no ordinary school. Parents are always impressed by the sense of purpose and enthusiasm of the talented, committed staff and the confidence of the extremely happy pupils. We offer girls the opportunity for a seamless journey from Nursery through to Sixth Form, with our boys leaving us at the age of 11 for their senior schools.
