Success at Area Athletics

We saw great success at the recent Area Athletics at Palmer Park where we fielded the largest Y10 team to date. 

Individual success went to:

Savannah Setten 1st in long jump

Helen Broadbridge 1st in discus

Helen Butt 1st in 3oom,

Alex Rigby 2nd in discus

Letitia Rizan 3rd in shot putt

The U15 team consisted of Y8 and 9 athletes and again they all gave everything on the day.

Special mentions go to:

Sophie Fowler 1st in 800m

Hannah Joseph 1st in shot putt and 100m

Charlotte Fowler 2nd in 800m and high jump

Francesca Flintoft 2nd in discus

Relay team - 2nd

Other members of the U15 team also earned valuable points and this meant that the St.Gabriel's U15 team were the overall Area Athletics winners scoring 89 points and beating all 14 other schools.
