Equestrian Success at Stonar

The St Gabriel’s Equestrian Club competed in a one day event at Stonar school which involves riding a dressage test, then jumping a course of show jumps. Finally they need to ride around a 2.5km cross country course, jumping 18 fences and water complexes as they go.

On Sunday, our team of Tori  McAlister, Annabelle Marbus, Philla Clifford-Jones and Abi Wilson came first in the 90cm class. Our sixth form team that comprised Laura McAlister, Holly Hathaway, Mille Marbus and Amie Payne came 6th.

On Saturday, our team of Flora Grime, Emma Ashfield and Megan Norgate rode well and were a credit to the school, although they were not placed this time.

Georgie Vile and Alice McGonnell also took part as individuals.

Stonar is hugely competitive and a very big event with hundreds of riders over the two days, so all the girls should be very proud of themselves.

 Winning Team

Visitors to St Gabriel's quickly recognise that this is no ordinary school. Parents are always impressed by the sense of purpose and enthusiasm of the talented, committed staff and the confidence of the extremely happy pupils. We offer girls the opportunity for a seamless journey from Nursery through to Sixth Form, with our boys leaving us at the age of 11 for their senior schools.
