Day 1 

After a super early start of a 12:15am meet-up at St Gabriel's we were all happy to have arrived in Greece with no delays and a wonderful journey. With a cheerful and welcoming bus driver we set off to our hotel where we dropped our bags before heading up to the Athenian Acropolis, catching lunch on the way in shops of our choice - the best being an independent bakery with the best ice cream. Full of countless altars, shrines and multiple temples and situated above the city it had amazing views and we spent our time leisurely seeing all there is to see (and taking many group photos). The weather was perfect and sunny and Mr Ives gave us a wonderful Greek tragedy tale as we all sat above on the Acropolis. We then had some time looking around the shops with our friends, and headed back to the hotel. Dinner was a buffet (much to everyone's delight) and shortly after we all dropped straight into bed for a much needed and much deserved sleep.
