Return to School - Summer Term
The Junior School staff are delighted to confirm details of the return to school on 8 March when pupils will start at 09.15 in order to reduce congestion in the car park and on the playground.
We understand that some children may still have some anxieties about the current situation and everyone will prioritise their emotional well-being as they return to school routines. A full timetable will be in operation with wraparound care in place.
Further details can be found in the return arrangements booklet.
We are looking forward to welcoming pupils back in to school from 8 March. To support their return a Senior School Arrangements Booklet has been created to provide guidance on how the School will operate.
This booklet explains the how the school will operate and Form Tutors will go through the arrangements, in tutor time and again on the first day back.
Wearing of Masks
Regarding the use of face coverings, our Senior School policy states they should be worn at all times in communal areas, corridors and in classrooms unless social distancing can be maintained. We have put extensive measures in place, along with good sanitisation to allow school to function effectively.
Testing is being made available to all Senior School pupils and staff. Initially we will conduct 3 tests for pupils on site and then move to home testing, which will be more convenient, avoiding disruption of lessons once in school. Further details will follow as we transition to this stage. Testing is voluntary and the while the government guidance strongly encourages those returning to school to be tested, should you not wish your child to be tested this does not prevent them from returning to school on 8 March 2021. For further information please refer to the booklet.
Please be aware that the guidance is updated regularly and often at short notice and all our measures are under constant review with any subsequent changes to policy and practice.
We are so looking forward to having pupils back in school.
