Congratulations to our budding chef Emily, Year 9 who impressed judges to be crowned joint winner at the district final of the Rotary Young Chef competition at Newbury College in January. 

Candidates were tasked with creating a healthy three-course meal in under two hours with a maximum budget of £20. Emily had previously  won her local heat and this round saw her judged on costing, planning and the quality of the meal produced.

Emily was presented with a prize and will go to the regional heat in February, where she will compete for a place at the national final. Good luck Emily.
