Study Facilities & Careers Guidance
Study Facilities
The Sixth Form library is housed within the main school library. There is a study space for Sixth Form students and specialist resources to support the Sixth Form curriculum. The library, managed by a professional librarian, provides PC workstations with internet access and throughout the school there is wireless networking for laptops.
Students can also take advantage of two well equipped and comfortable designated study areas exclusive to the Sixth Form.
Careers Guidance
There is a complete programme of careers education and guidance which has been designed to dovetail into the school PSHE curriculum.
The school has a full commitment to careers education and guidance and work-related learning also takes place in the Sixth Form. Year 12 students take part in a week's work experience in the summer term.
The programme of study incorporates self-assessment, introduction to resourses, the decision-making process, how to use prospectuses, higher education procedures, budgeting, student life and the job marketing for the future.
All students have the opportunity to undergo the Morrisby Psychometric tests and to use the services of the Independent Schools Careers Organisation.
