Relaxation, stress relief and physical fitness are all central to success and happiness in the Sixth Form.
Students spend two hours a week at Nuffield Health Centre where they can swim, use the gym or take a spin class. There are also Pilates and Zumba classes timetabled during the week. The netball squad goes from strength to strength and participates with gusto in local tournaments. Some of our students are elite sportswomen and we support them by devising bespoke timetables which enable them to attend practices and competitions with minimum disruption to their studies.
In PSHE we teach mindfulness techniques and examine the theory of Growth Mindset with some practical exercises to boost positivity and promote resilience. A trained nutritionist explains to students how to eat for health and how to ensure that their diet optimises their academic success.
