Physical Education

For PE at A level students are assessed in the role of player, performer or coach. In order to focus their skills they are able to select one sport from a wide range of activities. They develop theoretical knowledge and understanding of the factors that underpin physical activity and sport and use this knowledge to improve performance.  Students also learn how physiological and psychological states affect performance. They develop an understanding of the key socio-cultural factors that influence people’s involvement in physical activity and sport whilst developing their ability to analyse and evaluate in order to improve their own and others' performance.

Visitors to St Gabriel's quickly recognise that this is no ordinary school. Parents are always impressed by the sense of purpose and enthusiasm of the talented, committed staff and the confidence of the extremely happy pupils. We offer girls the opportunity for a seamless journey from Nursery through to Sixth Form, with our boys leaving us at the age of 11 for their senior schools.
