Music

The course allows students to take their love of music to the next level and to take a leading role in inspiring performers throughout the school through their own performance and leadership skills. Students' understanding is enriched through listening, composing and performing; they explore a range of classical and jazz set works, hone their creative skills as a composer and push their performing to new heights.

Students applying for university with Music A level demonstrate technical and analytical insight, dedication to learning an instrument to a high level and creative flair, making it a very persuasive qualification.

Following on from university, Music graduates enter a wide range of careers, including professional performer, teacher, concert manager, TV/radio, arts management, music journalism, music therapy and the recording industry.
