History

The children genuinely enjoy our History topics which are enlivened by our own resources (videos, posters and artefacts).

By visitors to school:

This year the company “History Off the Page” helped Years 1 & 2 experience life in a medieval castle.  Click to view news item.

During another a previous visit, Year 2 children were involved in re-enacting Florence Nightingale’s work in the Crimea. Dressing up was an essential part of the fun! 

Visiting places of interest:

Year 1 visited Cogges Farm to explore the ways people lived in the country in past times.
