Creative Writing Club - Kalliope

St Gabriel's Creative Writing Club, Kalliope, runs every Tuesday lunchtime from 13:00 - 13.45 in the library, with the aim of unleashing and inspiring the muse in all budding writers.  Each week we try our hand at a different kind of creative writing, experimenting with genres (fantasy, sci-fi, historical, romance, crime, chick-lit, comedy...) and styles (poetry, prose and playwriting) and at the end of each session we take it in turns to share what we've written.

Kalliope also hopes to run after-school activities involving guest speakers and tips on how to get published or get those finicky grammatical conundrums just right.  In addition to this there is the infamous creative writing visit, a 5-day residential course with professional writers, courtesy of the Arvon Foundation.  The first visit will be running in December 2009 - we hope it will be the first of many!

There's something for everyone at Kalliope - all you need do is grab a pen, look in your heart - and write!
