Before and After School Care

Before and after school care for Nursery to Year 6 pupils is available.

Before school care is offered from 8.00am - 8.30am.  It is available on a regular or ad hoc basis.  No booking is required but there is a small charge which is added to your school account.

4-6 club is available on a regular or ad hoc basis for Nursery up to Year 6.  Provision for girls from Nursery to Year 4 is provided in the Sandleford classrooms, Years 5 and 6 girls are based in the the North Block.

After school care is currently free within the level of supervision provided - if take up exceeds this then the school reserves the right to charge for session in accordance with the current Scale of Fees.

Sandleford and Junior pupils will be asked by their teachers at registration if they need to be booked into 4-6 club and whether they require tea.  Nursery, Reception, Year 1 and Year 2 pupils can be booked in via a message in their home link books.

Pupils who book in for tea will be served a variety of sandwiches, cake or a biscuit and a drink at 5.00pm.

If you child needs to stay at 4-6 club unexpectedly, please phone the school during the day in order that we can inform their teacher and to help give us an idea of numbers expected.

Please note that pupils need to book in for tea at registration.  Any pupils coming to 4-6 club unexpectedly after registration will not have been catered for.

4-6 club for girls from Nursery to Year 4 are offered a variety of art and craft activities and games to play which the pupils are free to choose for themselves.  There is a quiet area provided for pupils to do homework and the adjoining library is used as the TV/video room.  In fine weather, we have use of the playground and a variety of outdoor games and equipment.

All pupils must be collected by 6.00pm.  If there is an unexpected problem which means a pupil is likely to be collected later than 6.00pm, parents are expected to phone the 4-6 mobile contact number.

Any pupil remaining in school at 6.00pm will be taken to the senior member of staff on late duty that evening.
