Pre Prep celebrate World Book Day

All the staff and children celebrated World Book Day on Monday 9th March. Each class spent the day completing a range of fun activities based on a book. All the children and staff dressed up as a character from their book.

The Early Years looked the the book 'Noah's Ark' and a wide raneg of animals were spotted in their classrooms, acommpanied by Mr and Mrs Noah and also by a beasutiful rainbow! The girls completed a range of activities and wrote about who they were dressed up as and why they had chosen this character.

The book chosen for Year 1 was 'The Rainbow Fish'. The girls had a wonderful day completing activities associated with the book, including writing about their own imaginary fish, icing fish shaped biscuits and making an 'aquarium' full of colourful fish.

In Year 2 the girls focussed on the book 'Winnie the Witch'. The girls completed some maths with spiders and bugs, wrote word webs and decorated cakes with black spiders webs.

Great fun was had by all involved and of course, the best was seeing everyone in their amazing costumes. Many thanks to the parents for all of their hard work which certainly enhanced this special day.
