Profitable Enterprise Week
Young Enterprise company Forget-Me-Not took advantage of an in-house selling opportunity at the St Gabriel's Christmas Craft Fair recently. Sales of their mobile phone covers exceeded expectation and as a result they hope to diversify further to meet the needs of their target market in the coming months.
The Year 9 Business Club company for 2011, Eskimo, successfully sold small festive gifts and cakes at the craft fair. Shareholders will be making a dividend on their initial investment so it was a positive experience for all.
Coincidentally, the craft fair took place at the end of Enterprise Week. Activities to celebrate the enterprise theme throughout the rest of the week included a well attended lunchtime talk given by Joanna Wood about starting and running her own business. In addition, a wide range of business topics were addressed during many senior school lessons.
