Year 5 Corn Exchange Trip
Michael Morpurgo's book was brought to life when Year 5 went to see a production of Friend or Foe at the Corn Exchange in Newbury. The trip complimented their reading of the book in class this term and provided further insight into what life would have been like growing up as a child during the war.
"All the characters played their parts very well and the one that played the part of the German bomber had a brilliant German accent.
It was a great performance and I can't wait to finish the book so I can see how different or similar the play is to the book. I really enjoyed our trip to see Friend or Foe and I want to do it all over again."

"I really enjoyed watching Friend or Foe and thought it was acted and produced well.
I like the idea of only having five people acting different parts. Tucky and David were really funny and Tucky was very quick off the mark. It sounded very realistic and funny when the did sound effects.
I would really recommend this play for you to see because it is funny and you get a feeling inside what it would be like growing up as a child in the war."
