Enterprising St Gabriel's

St Gabriel's students enjoyed a wide range of enterprise activities during Global Enterprise Week in November.  Year 10 spent a day working on enterprise tasks which gave them the opportunity to strengthen their teamwork and communication skills.

Business students throughout the school enjoyed a talk from Susie Kensett of Susie's Preserves Ltd, a local company that supplies National Trust and other quality outlets with delicious chutneys, jellies and jams.  We were also delighted to welcome Jeni du Sart-Murray of Vodafone Plc who spoke to staff and students about the lessons she has learnt in corporate life.

The rest of the week was filled with cross curricular enterprise topics in many subject areas such as the changing face of the music industry, business ethics, psychology of the recession, fair trade and in modern foreign languages, tourism and the fashion industry.

What an exhausting but hopefully inspiring week!
