World Book Day 2021 initially saw pupils partipate from home on Thursday 4 March.  Junior pupils listened to a BBC Teach Live Lesson, hosted by CBBC's Ben Shires and Bitesize Daily's Mr Smith to celebrate the joy and value of books and reading, whilst senior pupils explored reading and writing for pleasure.

The English Department invited pupils to end their first week back in school with the opportunity to dress up as their favourite book characters on Friday 12 March. Pupils embraced the chance to dress up in fabulous costumes, in honour of World Book Day and literary characters filled the school. Year 10 pupils also designed their own book covers.
