Puzzles, Patterns and Juggling

We are looking forward to welcoming back Dr Colin Wright to St Gabriel’s on Wednesday 28 March at 7pm, this time to talk about puzzles, patterns and finally the unexpected patterns in juggling. Colin is originally from Australia and graduated from Monash University, Melbourne with a BSc in Pure Mathematics. He then went onto studying for a PhD from Cambridge in Combinatorics and Graph Theory (a branch of mathematics). Whilst at Cambridge he learnt how to fire-breathe, juggle, unicycle and ballroom dance. Since then he has worked as a research mathematician, computer programmer and an electronics hardware designer as well as taking time to give talks all over the world.

Please email to reserve your complimentary tickets. This event will be held in the Theatre. It is open to all local schools, teachers and parents.

Visitors to St Gabriel's quickly recognise that this is no ordinary school. Parents are always impressed by the sense of purpose and enthusiasm of the talented, committed staff and the confidence of the extremely happy pupils. We offer girls the opportunity for a seamless journey from Nursery through to Sixth Form, with our boys leaving us at the age of 11 for their senior schools.
