If you enjoy a challenge, are interested in the world around you and have enjoyed GCSE chemistry, especially the practicals, then you should consider doing A level Chemistry.
The course builds on concepts introduced at GCSE and covers a broad range of topics, from the fundamentals of periodicity, structure and bonding through to their applications in the chemical industry.
The course has a strong practical emphasis and aims to develop problem-solving ability through discussion work and practical experience.
There is no coursework component at either level. The exams include multiple choice sections, structured questions and extended response questions.
